About the artwork
About the artist
Ipman takes up the subject of an extraordinary work by Ingres (La Grande Odalisque) to speak with irony and sagacity of the degradation of modern times by comparing the morality of the past with that of today.
About the artist
Ipman, born in Chieti in 1992, attended the Vincenzo Bellisario Art Institute in Pescara, where he earned a diploma in graphic design and advertising printing. From a young age, he was fascinated by underground culture and by 'graffiti', which he briefly practiced. He then began experimenting with various street art techniques, ranging from simple stickers to posters and stencils. His sources of inspiration always draw on contemporary themes, while also drawing on the art of the past. Based in Pescara, his urban projects can be found in various Italian and international cities, including Rome, New York, and Paris. He has also participated in several urban art festivals in Naples and London. In recent years, he has been exploring the world of art galleries, while maintaining his distinctive style. He experiments with various media beyond the canvas, bringing urban art into more formal contexts.
