ENG:"Acqua Viva" originates from an exploration of the relationship between myth and nature at Lake Nemi. Through a chemical process that merges the techniques of lumen printing and cyanotype, sunlight reacts with pre-treated photographic paper to imprint the image of the lake’s water. The choice of technique is inspired by mythology: the goddess Diana, guardian of springs and worshipped in her triple form at Nemi, carries within her name the root dius, meaning light. "Acqua Viva" embodies the ever-changing rhythm of nature as it awaits a new balance. It captures what slips away, gives form to transformation, binds water with light: it holds the intangible with the immaterial. The result is a liquid geometry, a memory that seeks to be recognized and preserved—just like the very water from which it is born. The work received a Gallery Mention Award at the exhibition Prima Materia (Rome) and is shipped framed (wood and glass).
