Bardhyl Alibali was born in 1979 in Scusati in Albania and now lives and works in Florence. He attended art school in his own city and then studied for a year at the Academy of Fine Arts in Tirana before moving in Florence in 1999. Here he settled and attended the Academy of Fine Arts under the guidance of Prof. Adriano Bimbi, who introduced him to the Florentine artistic environment. He graduated in painting in 2006 with a thesis on Klimt's landscapes. In July 2004 he obtained the bronze medal for the Painting exhibition organized by the Municipality of Florence and the bronze medal in December 2012 for an exhibition organized by the “Mario Conti” Cultural Center of Florence-Europe. In 2013 he participated in the collective exhibition "Art in movement" Fiesole. In August 2016 he took part in another collective exhibition "Autumn Group Show" in Glasgow at the Leiper Gallery Glasgow. Attracted by the constructive potential of color, Alibali uses the spatula to create material bases dense with luminous effects and contrasts that support a sign texture created precisely through color in a completely personal way. He is not interested in the photographic rendering of the cities: his canvases project the sensitive emotion linked to the observation of the surrounding space, which is why the outlines of his buildings almost seem to crumble, change and transform under the gaze.
