In The Hidden II, the visual atmosphere is built upon a subdued palette of reddish and violet tones that envelop the pictorial surface in a sense of emotional density and contained tension. The work, of an abstract nature, evokes a state of uncertainty and vulnerability, where colour functions as an expressive vehicle for a collective experience marked by instability and unease. The brushstrokes, gestural and restless, traverse the space, generating irregular rhythms that convey unease and anxiety. There is no stable centre nor any recognisable form to cling to; on the contrary, the composition seems to shift constantly between appearance and concealment, reinforcing the sense of fragility and loss of control. The reddish tones evoke emotional intensity, tension and alertness, whilst the blue-violet hues introduce an introspective and ambiguous dimension, close to silence and the enigmatic.
