This selection of drawings reflects a meeting that has become daily, for 2 years now between Alain Lapierre and Jimmy Richer, who are both visual artists who express themselves particularly through drawing. Alchemy, tension, balance, matter, movement, imitation, hybridization, organic, artificial, visceral. So many qualifiers are possible within the meeting of these two artists. Which are only qualified here, for the most part, by the gesture, the pleasure of doing and by observing. Each of them brings their concerns, their observations of the world, their gestures and their doubts to lay it down on paper at each drawing session. In a balancing act, the techniques intersect and converse with great freedom. Here, drawing becomes cathartic.
