This unusual chapel houses a painted image that merges the codes of the Orthodox icon and the aesthetics of Japanese pop culture. At the center, a mixed-race figure reinterprets Carl Bloch's painting "The Resurrection of Christ." Amusing myself by subverting conventions, I metamorphosed the body of a Japanese UFO robot by inscribing it in an unexpected context and adorning it with new graphic codes. This representation, both warrior-like and imbued with sensuality, offers a vision of a world in full transformation, integrating a pious image, charged like a votive offering. Through this hybrid figure, a multiple truth is revealed, where metaphysical and initiatory quests intertwine. Metamorphosed into a cyborg-golem, this hybrid creature has become half-human, half-machine, each part being the prosthesis of the other. The icon in the chapel: An acrylic reproduction of Carl Bloch's "The Resurrection of Christ" is created with relative fidelity. The robotic profile of the body is clearly influenced by the iconography of Japanese pop culture. The support is a 1.5 cm thick multiplex beech wood panel, whose moldings are covered with gold leaf. A Chinese-style hardware hook is fixed to the back for hanging. Dimensions: 50 x 30 cm. The chapel housing the icon: The Gothic elements of the chapel are designed from diverted weapons of war. Vector plans enabled the laser cutting of the multiplex wood. The various elements were then assembled, glued, and partially covered with gold leaf. Hardware elements such as stars and hooks were added. Dimensions: 120x60x10 cm Weight: 4kg
