About the artist
Elena Brovelli is an artist shaped by a journey of profound personal transformation. Adopted at just three months old and marked by a lifelong search for her birth mother—whom she tragically found only after her passing—Elena also faced, within a short span of time, the loss of her husband and adoptive parents. What could have become a void was instead transmuted into creative force.
In that moment of disorientation, Brovelli turned to spiritual guides, embarking on a path of deep introspection and meditative awareness. This inner pilgrimage became the soil from which her artistic voice emerged, steeped in sacred rituals: the embrace as an act of healing presence, and the burning of palo santo, with which she energetically consecrates each work, transforming material into a sacred space.
It was during one such meditative moment, while listening to Adrian Berenguer’s October, that she received an unexpected “calling.” Her hands began to shape fabric as if guided by a higher intelligence. Since then, Elena no longer creates her works—she receives them. Every fold, every textile is shaped only when she senses the exact energetic alignment, the sign that the time is right.
Her art is three-dimensional and emotional, and each work is a one-of-a-kind spiritual portal that invites the viewer into an intimate journey of self-discovery. Her pieces serve as mirrors, reflecting unseen aspects of the soul to those open enough to be moved.
In just two years, her work has captured the attention of visionary collectors: her artistic coefficient has already reached the value of 3.0, signaling her as one of the most compelling emergent voices in contemporary art.
Some critics—notably Giorgio Baratti—have even compared the gestural energy of her painterly works to that of Jackson Pollock, recognizing in her practice a similarly instinctual, spiritual choreography of motion.
Others have traced echoes of Yayoi Kusama’s immersive force, Marina Abramović’s emotional depth, Anni Albers’ tactile intellect, and the soft sculptural irony of Claes Oldenburg. And yet, Brovelli’s path remains unmistakably her own: hers is an art of rebirth, of ritual, of reverent space.
Her works are not meant to be merely viewed—they are meant to be experienced. They are energetic journeys that speak to the skin and the spirit, created for those with the courage to look inward.
Elena is currently represented by Beyond the Rules and has exhibited in both institutional and private settings, including Fiera Milano, Porsche, and the G. and D. De Marchi Foundation. Her works are part of international collections and have been featured in International, TgCom24, Vanity Class, Beyond Art & Design, as well as on other media outlets and television networks.
With a background that touches design, spirituality, and conceptual art, Brovelli shapes a radical and feminine aesthetic—one that does not seek to be explained, but rather to be experienced.
